- Homeowner Association Statutes explain how associations provide services, regulate activities, levy assessments, and may, as delegated by the states legislature, impose fines. Unlike a municipal government, they are not subject to the constitutional constraints that public government must abide by.
- Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes is a useful link with information relative to the above-listed entities.
- Florida Division of Emergency Management has excellent links to resources helpful in the time of an emergency.
- Sun Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (SCC-CAI) serves the educational and networking needs of community associations in the greater Tampa area. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations as well as those who provide services and products to associations.
- State of Florida Government website contains useful information for new residents and details concerning government services, agencies and state laws.
- Major city and county government websites are a great general purpose resource to understand community trends, profile data, newcomer’s information and neighborhood associations. Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater all have useful municipal content. Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County sites have information on county services.
- Chambers of Commerce represents many geographic areas of the region. Links are provided for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, North Tampa, South Tampa, Tampa Bay Beaches and West Tampa Chambers.
- University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences has Extension offices in each of Florida’s sixty-seven counties. Each office has information specific to their county on regulatory and conservation issues, Florida-friendly landscaping and urban/community forestry.
