The Sentry Management Indianapolis Division recently sponsored a booth at the CAI Annual HOA Education Conference. The theme this year was “Shoot for the Stars” and many attendees dressed up. The conference featured a day of education, exhibits, and networking that was beneficial for board members, volunteers, property managers, and homeowner association managers alike.
“We enjoy contributing to our local CAI Trade Show each year. This year we had a lot of fun with the theme of Shooting for the Stars and providing a Hollywood Stars photo booth for the enjoyment of the attendees,” Cristy McKinney, Indianapolis Division Manager said.
The education session topics included Pond Basics, Strength in Volunteers, Association Liability, and more. The general session outlined legislative updates that went into effect on July 1, 2018, including the blocking of local government from banning short-term rentals houses and condominiums. An expert panel of association attorneys was on hand to guide and lead the legislative discussion and answer questions.
“This type of event really is beneficial for anyone involved in the community management field. Not only is it a great source of information from industry professionals, it also provides us with a way to network with current and future HOA board members,” Cristy explains.
Being a CAI member has many benefits, including access to information on the trends in the rapidly-changing industry, resources and educational programs, and a network of industry colleagues.
