Know if you have any Formal or Informal Relationships with Vendors
Sentry Management is solely a community management firm. We have no affiliations or ownership positions with any other business or service that may be purchased by an association.
Know how much and what types of Insurance Coverage your firm carries
Sentry carries worker’s compensation, employee practices, property, vehicle, fraud/theft, liability policies, including $3 million bond and $10 million in umbrella coverage. Sentry is willing to share our certificate of insurance, so boards can make ‘apples-to-apples’ comparisons.
Make sure all Fees and Costs will be fully disclosed
You will never be surprised by an additional charge that is not revealed in the contract. Nothing is vaguely written or open-ended in our standard agreement.

Sentry’s designation as an Accredited Management Organization® (AMO®) causes us to have separate, specialized accounting, collections and accounts payable functions. It guarantees transparency and the utmost integrity in handling your community’s funds.

Get your association’s financial information in real time, 24/7 through your “Board Room” – an online feature on each community website. Retrieve on-demand reports any time and you can download them for detailed review. You can also find things like account notes and vendor contracts here.
Sentry provides an accounting “help desk” for association board members. Written requests can be made through the Financial Reports section of the CommunityPro PORTAL, by email or by phone to answer accounting questions or resolve issues about financial reports or discrepancies in account balances.
Along with the orientation provided for new Board members, all Board members receive our periodic Board eNewsletter that focuses on timely topics relating to association management and the role Boards have in the governance of their community. The information helps you be more productive and effective as a Board, by focusing on budgeting, legal and financial management topics as well as specific issues like insurance, disaster preparedness, developing policies and reserves.
To ensure that you and your association are completely satisfied, Sentry’s Customer Assurance Team makes personal contact with the President or Board member of associations managed by Sentry. This communication helps us offer specific solutions to any outstanding issues you may be facing.
