Sentry’s Data Security Protocol

  • No data is stored on public servers.
  • All homeowner and association data is stored on internal servers or private cloud servers that are protected by firewalls and virtual private networks.
  • Web access to data is accomplished through a secure VPN (Virtual Private Network)
between the public web server and private Sentry servers and limited to specific IP
(Internet Protocol) numbers and port numbers.
  • A valid login is required to access data through CommunityPro®. Logins are limited to
what data they can access based on their credentials whether Sentry personal or com-
    munity member/Board member.
  • Passwords are stored encrypted on private servers so no one, including Sentry staff can
    obtain a user’s password.
  • All data sent between the CommunityPro® site and the user’s internet browser is
encrypted and verified by GeoTrust, Inc.
  • Audit logs are kept of all access.
