Sentry Management Pasco Hosts Tradeshow to Benefit the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run

The Sentry Management Pasco office participated in the Arthritis Foundation’s annual Jingle Bell Run on Friday, December 8th, raising a total of $2,620. In lieu of a typical 5K run or raffle, the Sentry team hosted a half-day mini trade show and raffle with local vendors and community board members at the Sentry Management Pasco office. Over 20 vendors, numerous board members, and Sentry Pasco employees came together to mingle, network, and support a great national cause on a local level. 

“In the past, we have tried various ways to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation.  This year, we came up with the idea of a mini trade show where each vendor donated $100 for a table to display their products and tell us what they do.  It was great fun to mingle with all of the vendors. This gave everyone in the office, as well as the board members who came, a chance to meet the vendors who perform a lot of the work on the property that they may not otherwise have had an opportunity to meet in person. It was a great day of fun, and we were all so pleased with the amount of funds collected for the charity – every year, this event gets better and better,” says Linda Cleaver, Sentry Pasco Community Manager and tradeshow organizer. 

The Arthritis Foundation typically hosts local Jingle Bell Run events where participants and sponsors can dress up festively to walk or run a course supporting its cause. 100% of the funds these events raise go directly to the foundation and its efforts to support research, development, and awareness for a cure. 

This is the fifth consecutive year that Sentry has participated in the race on a national level, raising over $37,000 in 2023 alone and a total of $187,000 to date. The event is part of Sentry’s commitment to giving back to communities through the company-wide charitable program called “Giving SMILES.” Giving SMILES identifies deserving residents impacted by tragic events like fire, flood, or other personal hardships and provides funding and assistance through company-matched and employee donations.
