The Sentry Savannah office donated funds to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway this year as a part of the Sentry Smiles program. The giveaway awarded one lucky winner with a brand-new home located in Savannah, Georgia.
A total of $659,850 was raised by the fundraiser, all of which will go toward treatment, travel, and housing or food in order for families with children being treated at St. Jude’s to never receive a bill for the services.
The grand prize winner of the giveaway won the St. Jude Dream Home house, that was built by Village Park Homes, and has an estimated value of $400,000. Other prizes included free groceries for a year, a 2018 Nissan Versa S+, from Grainger Nissan of Savannah, and a $10,000 shopping spree at Timeless Interiors. This non-profit organization and many others are supported by the Sentry SMILES program, which is funded by the company and its employees who opt to donate portions of their paychecks to give back to community members in need. The SMILES program encourages employees to contribute to local charities within their communities. Over 100 local charities and causes are supported by the employees of Sentry offices in 16 different states.
