The Sentry Volusia office participated in the Volusia County Basket Brigade, an annual event where baskets are put together with ingredients to provide a full Thanksgiving meal, including a gift card to purchase a turkey, to local families in need.
The staff members spent a few hours filling and decorating the baskets. The team made 14 baskets to give to 14 different families.
“We had a great time filling the baskets and giving them each a special touch to hopefully put some smiles on a few faces. It was a great way to start the holiday season and keeping up with our Sentry core values of “embracing the honor to serve,” Tara Galloway, Sentry Management Rental Manager explained.
This and hundreds of other local charities are supported by Sentry Management and staff through the Giving SMILES Program. The SMILES program is a company-wide program that provides assistance when needed to communities. The program is funded by Sentry and through employee contributions.
