Loudoun Community Association Manager Selected for Sentry Leadership Program

Sentry Loudoun Leadership Program

A local staff member at the Loudoun, VA office, Joseph Barrows was selected to join the Sentry Leadership Development Program based off of his successful track record during his time working as a Community Association Manager.

The Leadership Development Program is a one-year-long series of meetings, continuing education courses, and activities designed to enhance participants effectiveness as a leader, strengthen their ability to contribute to organizational priorities, and prepare them for tomorrow’s leadership within Sentry. Joseph was one of 11 Sentry employees that were chosen to be part of the 2018 Leadership Program.

Prior to joining the Sentry Management family, Joseph worked for Erickson Retirement Communities in various roles, including the Assistant Community Manager position. He was responsible for ensuring that the community remained compliant with state and federal laws. It was during his time working for the retirement community that he developed a passion for working with the dementia population. He went on to develop a training course on dealing with dementia for the organization as well as the family caregivers.

Following his time at the assisted living community Joseph went on to work as a Resident Life Director for the new community called Ashby Ponds for several years. He will be celebrating six years of working as a Community Association Manager for Sentry Management this October.

“I am continually grateful and feel very blessed to be working for such an incredible company with a tremendous work family. I am extremely flattered to have been selected for the Leadership Program,” Joseph said.

“I feel totally valued and appreciated by Sentry and know that they acknowledge the contributions that I am making. I am very excited to be a part of this program and to assist in implementing a new procedure.  I very much look forward to my continued road ahead with the Leadership Program and with Sentry Management,” Joseph explains.
